About the founder
Abbas Naseri, co-founder and CEO of King Abbas carpets, started his journey in the wod of handmade rugs since 2019. He did not inherit a ready-made business from his father or grabdfather, rather he created his carpet empire from a zero base and in a very short time, during which he also revolutionized the production of persian handmade carpets with contemporary design within Iran. before King Abbas carpets start creating modern handmade rugs in a massive scale, the concept of producing modern handmade rugs with abstract designs in Iran was something fancy and seldom happening here or there in unnoticeable volume.
the other co-founder Mr Yu Zhejin has always been supprting of a meaningful contribution to the cultural heritage of Iran, emphasising love and friendship between two ancient nations of the world, Iran and China
Brand story
"Abbas Naseri" chose the brand "King Abbas" as to pay homage to Shah Abbas the Great who made tremendous contribution to persian rugs at his time in Safavid dynasty almost 400 years ago in Iran. while the term "Shah" was more known in the western countries, "Abbas Naseri" chose "King" as he targeted Asian markets starting with China
King Abbas carpets mission is to drag persian weaving heritage to 21st century by emphasis on contemporary rug designs with the same ancient techniques of legendary persian rugs, All made in Iran.
Scale of King Abbas
King Abbas intended to leave his mark in the Asian carpet market with an eye on the global scale. so it was born giant from the beginnig with about 700 rug weaver artists cooperating on a long term basis and 50 craftsmenship in the workshops working on rug details to perfection.
